Safe Schools

Campus safety is Modesto City Schools’ top priority. Teachers, support staff, school police services and community organizations work together to prevent, prepare and respond to emergency situations. The district works with the Modesto Police Department, State and Federal law enforcement, and other emergency response agencies to ensure school site security and student safety.

  • Each school's staff reviews and updates an individual Safe School Plan, a state-mandated emergency response plan.

  • School staff participate in regular emergency preparedness and response training.

  • School sites provide presentations about substance abuse prevention programs.
