Jamie always knew she wanted a career that would let her work outdoors. During her junior year in the CTE Construction course, she discovered a passion for working with plumbing materials. To gain more experience, she enrolled in an Ag Mechanics course her senior year, focusing on irrigation systems. Over spring break, Jamie participated in a one-day job shadow with a plumber from Tony’s Plumbing—and that experience confirmed her career path. Impressed with her dedication and enthusiasm, Tony’s Plumbing offered Jamie a scholarship to launch her career in plumbing, along with a full-time position after graduation. Jamie’s story is proof that CTE programs allow students to discover their passions!
