What is Dual Enrollment?

Through partnerships with area community colleges like MJC, dual enrollment allows high school students (as young as 13 years old)  to take college courses and earn college credit while still in high school. These courses are taken online or on campus, and count towards a student's high school diploma. Dual enrollment programs can help students save time and money, and can prepare them for college-level learning. Dual Enrollment also enables students from underrepresented groups in higher education to access and succeed in college coursework for credit. Dual enrollment serves as an avenue for closing equity gaps, extending educational and CTE pathways, and accelerating the completion of degrees and credentials.
