Enochs Forensic Biotech Academy(FBA) held its first Annual Research Poster Gala and Award Night. Over 70 seniors displayed their research project and discussed their findings. The evening included a presentation of awards and a tribute to Dr. Menshew, retiring this year. Dr. Menshew, a life-long educator and science enthusiast is the founder of the Biotech Academy and leaves a legacy of excellence at Enochs and the science community!

Some more great projects from CTE students at Davis High School! Lou Triller, a senior, finished a five-month project of this river table with rock and glass blown trout. Modesto FFA invited the CTE department to come help them celebrate their 100th year of operation at their Annual FFA Awards Night on 5/10/23. The evening was spent recognizing students on their various degrees and awards they have earned throughout the year, as well as recognizing industry business partners and individuals for their contributions to the organization.

As we draw closer to the last day of school, many students across the district are finishing up projects for their classes. Taner Roberts, a senior at Davis High School, just completed this bench set for his Ag Mechanics class. The benches are made of Alaskan White Cedar and convert into a picnic table. Great job Taner! Modesto High FFA Livestock Judging Team wins 4th place at the State Finals competition. The team competed against 34 teams and had to judge classes of cattle, swine, sheep and goats. Each team member also had to give 4 sets of oral reasons to defend their class placement and take a test.
Team members are Alysha Travao, Bethany McGrath, Katie Higgins, Daisy Houx-Miller.

Students from MCS visited Western Pacific Truck School to learn about their training program and truck driving. They offer a day program for 4 weeks and a night program for 7 weeks to complete the requirements for Class C drivers license.
Students can be 18 years old, complete the training and obtain their license, and be hired by local companies to drive trucks. Great career option!

The Gregori High School Ag Department hosted a farm visit for the Shackleford Elementary 3rd grade students. The 3rd graders rotated through stations that included rabbits, pigs, goats, ag mechanics, and the greenhouse. They also learned about future careers and explored the Gregori agriculture department.

Downey High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students competed at their state conference and placed 5th in California for Community Service Project. Team members Addison Allan, Amelia Laherran and Chelsea Wey presented a Lead4change workshop where they shared their story in front of hundreds and inspired other FBLA chapters to commit to service.
